Print this and have your instructor initial each task as you demonstrate the following tasks.
- Register, download, install and license VMWare Workstation.
- Demonstrate and explain what VMWare Workstation does to the NICs installed on the host.
- Show how ipconfig might confuse someone.
- Demonstrate and explain (briefly) how to install an OS from an image (.iso). Include terms like .iso, image, mounting, virtual, drive letter, etc.
- Demonstrate and explain (briefly) a linked clone.
- Demonstrate and explain (briefly) snapshots.
- Demonstrate and explain (briefly) how to copy a virtual machine guest to another drive or location.
- Demonstrate how to connect and disconnect an external USB device into the guest.
- Demonstrate how to share files and folders with the host/guest .
- Demonstrate adding a second hard drive to the guest. Add an additional NIC as well.
- A use is confused by having two desktops. One on the host and one in the vmware guest window. Demonstrate the Unity feature and explain how to use it and the advantages.
- Demonstrate how to save a screenshot and a movie of actions in the guest.
